The shared grand entrance to the Indoor Practice Facility, Academic Center and Sports Medicine Translational Research Center will feature Marshall’s rich tradition of excellence that give the Athletics Hall of Fame a proper home to be enjoyed by all who visit. The Hall of Fame will also serve as a reminder to every student-athlete who enters of the awesome responsibility that comes with the honor of wearing the Marshall uniform.

The Vision includes a state-of-the-art facility that will encompass a 100 yard football field, an eight-lane NCAA indoor track perfect for hosting meets, batting cages for both baseball and softball and portable tennis courts for indoor matches. It will be an excellent climate-controlled indoor facility for every Thundering Herd athletic team to utilize. Upon its completion, the facility will be second to none in the entire country.

The Vision Campaign provides for a soccer complex that will be one of the finest collegiate soccer facilities in the nation. It will feature a durable FieldTurf playing surface, locker rooms for men and women, coaches’ offices, a press box, lights and seating for approximately 1,500 spectators, making it ideal for NCAA matches and national or regional youth soccer tournaments. It will also feature ample parking and a veterans’ memorial park.

The Vision continues with an incredible facility that will give every Marshall student-athlete the tools necessary to excel in the classroom. Study space with top-of-the-line computer stations will provide Marshall’s Buck Harless Student-Athlete Program with a top-flight center for learning that will be the envy of Conference USA.

Imagine a first-class sports medicine facility that contains the most advanced equipment in the world for the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries. Combine that technology with university researchers who are on the cutting-edge of science, doctors from the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and Marshall’s athletic training staff, and you have a top-flight training center unlike any other in the nation benefitting every Marshall student-athlete it serves.
